The Board of Tantalizers Plc. is made up of eminent professionals who have made their mark in their respective fields of endeavour, thereby bringing several years of experience to bear on the Board.

Adam Nuru
Chairman
Alhaji Adam Nuru, the new Chairman has over three (3) decades of experience in the financial services sector covering Corporate Finance, Consumer Banking, and International Treasury Management. He served on board of several financial institutions including First City Monument Bank where he retired as the Managing Director in 2021 and a non-Executive Director of Nigeria Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS). Prior to that he served as an Executive Director in FinBank and was Chairman of Arab Gambia Islamic Bank in The Gambia. Adam holds a Bachelor’s degree from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University in 1988 and Fellowships of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM), the Institute of Credit Administration (FICA) and Honorary Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. He is a strong advocate of using technology to drive transformation and innovations and has originated and supervised several revenue enhancements initiatives at both public and private sectors institutions. Nuru would be leading the transformation of Tantalizers Plc from its one company status to a highly diversified food and entertainment holding group in the years to come. Alhaji Nuru has attended several executive management and leadership courses at leading Institutions, including Harvard Business School and INSEAD. He is a renowned strategic investor in the Nigerian manufacturing, agriculture and financial service sectors and is expected to bring this expansive and robust experience to the new Tantalizers Plc.

Rob Speijer
MD/CEO
Robert Speijer, is a Dutch National, a certified blue economy professional. Robert trained as an Engineer at the Merchant Navy Academy in the Netherlands. He has transversed manufacturing, hospitality, engineering procurement, oil and gas, maritime and global business development over the past three (3) decades. Robert was Group Executive Director at Niger Dock and Jagal Group with responsibilities for international business development for 6 years. Robert has held strategic positions and led business turnaround and transformation. He was Vice President, Africa at Inchcape Shipping Services and Director for Business Development (West Africa) at Petrofac International, listed on the London Stock Exchange. Robert shall lead the Tantalizer’s incursions into the opportunities in the blue economy in the coming years including helping to create global alliances, partnership and collaborations in the emerging diversified food, aquaculture and entertainment sectors.

Charles Ifidon
DMD
Charles Olayemi Ifidon, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture with focus on Animal Science from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. This background later culminated in his success stories when he made incursions into the ever evolving entrepreneurship space with his investments in the food, hospitality and logistics businesses. Charles was at various times MD/CEO of Road Network Global Resources Limited and De Vine Hotels providing food and culinary for emerging Nigerian airlines including Arik Airlines in the mid-2000s. Mr. Ifidon is a foodie and is expected to bring over 30 years cumulative experience on the field as the new board triggers the Tantalizers transformation journey.

Mrs. Abosede Ayeni
Non- Executive Director
Mrs Abosede Ayeni,S holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Language Arts from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1979 and an MBA from Pan African University in 2006. She joined Lever Brothers Nigeria Limited in 1980 as Management Trainee and left in 1991 as Product Group Manager to run Senkay Nigeria Limited. She started Tantalizers Limited in 1997 and successfully turned it from a one outlet eatery to what it is today. She was a joint recipient of the FATE Foundation Model Entrepreneur Award 2005. She is a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, and Managing Director/Chief Executive of Tantalizers PLC until 2024.

Segun Ekundayo
Executive director Operations
Olusegun Ekundayo, graduated from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU) in Food Sciences & Technology in 1992. He was appointed Asst. Brewer for Cellars operations with Dubic Breweries Ltd in 1993 and was Production Supervisor for Venus Processing and Packaging Ltd in 1994 and in the same year was appointed Production Supervisor for Columbia Int. Ltd. with responsibilities for Industrial/Table salts production. In 1996, he moved to Family Foods Limited as Bakery Supervisor and later appointed as the pioneer Unit Manager for Tantalizers with responsibilities for Products handling, Outlet Aesthetics, Customer Satisfaction, etc in 1997. In 1999, he was promoted to Senior Manager, Operations with responsibilities for four outlets and in 2001 promoted to Asst. General Manager, Operations with responsibilities for developing the Northern business commencing from Abuja. Until his recent appointment, Ekundayo was General Manager of enlarged Operations covering Corporate Outlets, TLS, Central Kitchen, Bakery, TOS & TMX.

Bimbo Izu
Executive Director
Mrs. Abimbola Izu, holds a degree in Law from University of Ife, (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and a Masters of Law degrees (LLM) from the University of Warwick, England. She was a Foreign and Commonwealth Office scholar whilst at Warwick and holds a Fellowship of Rockefeller Foundation on leadership and development, with training footprints across the globe. Bimbo is an highly cerebral and versatile professional with multi-dimensional competencies; she rose to become the Executive Director, Corporate and Investment Banking at Polaris Bank (previously Skye Bank Plc) in 2017 where she was responsible for a portfolio of over N600.0 billion across oil and gas, large corporates, agriculture, telecoms, hospitality, real estate and maritime services. Prior to her appointment at Polaris she was at several times Executive Director, Company Secretary/Legal Adviser as well as Divisional Head, Corporate Services. Mrs. Izu has spent the last three (3) decades of successful career in the Nigerian Banking sector. She is presently the Principal Advisor at Portalls Advisory Services, a legal advisory firm specializing in corporate and commercial practice, structure finance and transaction advisory, corporate governance and secretarial services.

Israel Ovirih
Non- executive director
Dr. Israel Ovirih, is a Valedictorian with degrees and certifications in Monetary Economics, Entrepreneurship and Investment Banking. His alma mater, Ondo State University (now Ekiti State University) in 2018 awarded him a Doctorate in Business Administration. Israel Ovirih has been active in the finance, entrepreneurial and macro-economic policy space over the past 30 years, having worked at management positions in GTBank, Oceanic Bank (now EcoBank) and ETBank (now Sterling Bank Plc). His internship in financial engineering, private equity and venture finance enabled since 2008 the founding of Banklink Africa Private Equities Limited – a fledging deal origination, structured finance and financial proprietary firm where he currently sits as Board Chair and CEO; raising capital for indigenous Nigerian companies, especially local content operators. Dr. Israel’s career has been greatly enriched vide various management development, Investment Banking and entrepreneurship training programs in leading institutions; including the Lagos Business School, Swiss Finance Institute and the prestigious MIT Sloan School of Management, Boston, USA. Israel sits on the board of several companies across Fintech, critical minerals, oil and gas amongst others. He is also on the Governing Council of Ekiti State University, his alma mater.

Dele Oke
Executive director Finance
Mr. Bamidele Oke, is the head of the finance and accounting functions. He graduated from the University of Lagos, Akoka in Accounting in 1984, became an Associate of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA) in 1989, and a Fellow of The Institute (FCA) in 2000. He obtained an MBA in 2001 from Ondo State University, Akungba. Dele joined National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) as Internal Auditor in 1986, Smithkline Beecham PLC (Now Glaxo Smithkline) as Senior Management Accountant in 1992. In 1994, he left Smithkline for Capital Services Ltd (a subsidiary of Negris Ltd) an Oil Services Company as Head of Finance. He was appointed as Divisional Accountant (Technical) of SGS Nig. Ltd – another Oil Services Company in 1998. In 2000, he moved to Nigerian Bottling Company PLC and held various positions including Finance Manager, Ilorin Plant, Jos, Ikeja, Agidingbi, Lagos and Head Office, Lagos. Dele joined Tantalizers Ltd as General Manager, Finance in 2006. He was appointed Executive Director, Finance in 2008 and Executive Director of enlarged Finance incorporating Information Technology in 2015.

Bode Akinboye
Non executive director
Oyebode Akinboye, is an entrepreneur and Financial Service professional with robust experience spanning thirty (30) years in the sector and functioned as CEO of a leading composite Insurance Company listed on the NGX. He is presently the CEO of Sweet Apple Global Corporation, a private equity and business transformation firm operating out of Toronto, Canada. Bode was appointed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as a member of the Technical Sub-Committee on the Nigerian International Financial Centre under FSS Vision 2020 and was a Governing Council Member of the Nigerian Insurers Association from 2004 to 2009. Bode is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM) as well as Institute of Directors. He is an Alumnus of the Harvard Business School as well as the CEO program at the Lagos Business School. The new Board will be enriched by Mr. Akinboye’s wealth of experience in financial management, business transformation and wealth creation.
